To get High Marks Students tend to study more and to achieve that purpose they frequently use their laptops and Electronic Device to prepare best. Frequently using your laptop in Summer can also reduce its performance if you overlook the overheating and cooling factor.

As many of us i.e, Students might be facing this problem already.
You Should know If your laptop is running hot, it’s not good for you or for your Laptop. To solve that problem, laptop makers add heat vents and a few fans to keep everything running smoothly with optimum speed. sadly for us folks in Pakistan, the summer season heat robs us of that comfort.

Here are few Tips to Keep your laptop Cool this Summer.
  1. Dont Use Your Laptop in Lap or Uneven Surfaces
  2. Buy a Cooling Pad or Fan for Your Laptop
  3. Clean Your Laptop Inside Out
  4. Check and Adjust Your laptop Settings 
  5. Leave Your laptop Idle

1 - Dont Use Your Laptop in Lap or Uneven Surfaces

You should not use your Laptop while placing it on your lap. It can potentially block the air vents, trapping the heat inside your Laptop to start overheating Process.

We Recommend you to use a laptop stand or place something under it to increase the height from surface. You can use a small book for this but make sure it doesn’t block All the air vents. You can also place it on a smooth flat surface to keep it cool and running smoothly.

2 - Buy a Cooling Pad or Fan for Your Laptop

If You have implemented the Previous option but it didn’t work well you can buy a cooling pad instead. If in case you’re Low on budget you can try making one by yourself. There are plenty of Tutorials available on YouTube for a DIY cooling pad for laptops.

Another Easy option is to place a pedestal or Standing fan near your laptop to keep it cool if you can’t afford to buy/make a cooling pad.

3 - Clean Your Laptop Inside Out

As we know Dust is the All time enemy of all electronic things.
In Pakistan Dust is a most common issue. If dust gathers inside your laptop’s vents, fans it can block the airflow to keep it cool. Most of the Electronics that are not working properly heals when dust is cleaned through them.

Be sure to get your laptop cleaned by a laptop service person or from a repair shop or You can do it yourself at home every once in a while but be very cautious while doing it to avoiding damaging other parts of Laptop. Clean your laptop every two months.

Use a compressed can of air to spray short bursts of air inside the vents. You can also use hairdryer (if you have it in your home) for this too.

It is Recommended that you get it properly cleaned out by an experienced repairman though.

4 - Check and Adjust Your laptop Settings

You can Change your power plan in settings to "balanced" or "power saver" as it will decrease the performance of your laptop, which can also reduce overheating issues.

  • Unplug unnecessary USB devices
  • Closing apps that use up CPU
You might have noticed that some laptops have a high speed/loud fan by default. This doesn’t necessarily mean that your laptop is overheating. If you get frequent crashes or abrupt shutdowns coupled with high fan speed, then you may have a problem on your hands.

This Trick is Simple but most effective in summer days as giving your laptop a rest can also help cool it down. Frequently turning it ON and OFF is not recommended. If you turned on your laptop for a quick edit on Microsoft Word or for checking your mail, you should leave it ON for a while.
