British Council Scholarships without IELTS 2022

List of all the UK universities that have ruled out the IELTS test scores requirement needed for admission and scholarships.

1. Think Big Scholarships at Bristol University:

Students from all over the world will be able to apply for Bristol University's Think Big Scholarship Program as part of the university's Think Big scholarship program. Approximately £500,000 has been invested in the Bristol Think Big Undergraduate/Postgraduate Scholarship.

Because Bristol University scholarships can be applied for without IELTS, we included them in our list of British Council Scholarships without IELTS. You may also submit English proficiency certificates if you wish to apply.

This scholarship is open to all overseas candidates, and they can receive up to a maximum of £5,000 / $10,000. 

Undergraduate program Deadline

The application deadline for the undergraduate program is March 28, 2022.

Postgraduate Program Deadline

On the other hand, there are two rounds of applications for the postgraduate program:

For the first round, the deadline is 28 March 2022. 

For the second round, the deadline is 13 June 2022.

2. Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships

A valuable Scotland’s Saltire scholarship is being offered jointly by the Scottish government and Scottish universities to citizens of;

• USA
• Pakistan
• China (including Hong Kong)
• India
• Japan
• Canada

A Scotland scholarship can reward up to £8000 for Master's degree candidates. About 50 such scholarships are available. Furthermore, the scholarship recipients will represent the Scotland and Saltire Scholarship programs.

Because applicants can submit alternate to IELTS certificates during the application process, the Scotland Saltire Scholarships made it onto our list of British Council Scholarship Without IELTS. Additionally, applicants may submit English proficiency certificates.

3. British Chevening Scholarships

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other cooperating organizations fund these British scholarships. Chevening is an internationally competitive scholarship program offered by the UK government for master's degrees. You can also apply for Chevening scholarships if you have an acceptable English language proficiency certificate or IELTS alternate scores.

In order to be eligible:

• Candidates must be citizens of the eligible countries listed.
• Upon completion of the scholarship program, the candidates will have to return to their home countries for two years.
• An applicant must have at least two years work experience.
• To submit the scholarship application for a Master's degree, the candidate must have completed the Bachelor's degree.

In order to apply:
Online applications are accepted. The candidates will, however, apply separately for the Masters degree and Chevening scholarship. Apply accordingly, as the submission deadline varies by country.

4. University of Sussex Scholarships

Sussex University offers more than 500 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, ranking among the top research universities in the UK. At present, around 5,6000 international students attend the university and can apply for 25 or more scholarship programs.

Students will be awarded scholarships based on their academic performance and financial need at Sussex University. If you do not have IELTS, an English Proficiency Certificate or alternative certification can be used to access Sussex University Scholarships. The University of Sussex Scholarships made it onto our list of British Council Scholarship Without IELTS.

Scholarships provide students with a reduction in tuition fees up to 50%, and a grant of 5,000 GBP for undergraduates and 3,000 GBP for graduate students.

5. Rhodes Scholarship Britain

The Rhodes Scholarship Britain is open to all deserving and eligible candidates. Although it is an old scholarship program, it is still one of the most prestigious. International students are awarded about 100 scholarships each year to help them finish their Master's and Ph.D. degrees.

Applicants with good grades are eligible to apply for the Rhodes scholarships; applicants with PTE or another English proficiency certificate are also eligible to apply for these scholarships. The Rhodes Scholarship Britain made it onto our list of British Council Scholarship Without IELTS.

Two years are the duration of this Rhodes scholarship. As well as university fees, it provides an annual stipend of £17,310.
